Embed Google Maps

Who can use this feature?

🔐 Only workspace editors can embed Google Maps.

⭐️ Available on all plans.

You can easily embed fully interactive Google Maps into any Nuclino item by simply pasting a link to the map in an empty paragraph.

To embed a map from Google Maps

  1. Open Google Maps.

  2. Enter the name, address, or coordinates of the location.

  3. Copy the link.

  4. Paste the link into an empty paragraph of a Nuclino item.

To embed a custom map from Google My Maps

  1. Sign in to My Maps.

  2. Open or create a map.

  3. In order to be embedded, the map needs to be public. In the left panel, click Share.

  4. Go to Who has access and click Change.

  5. Make sure the Link sharing is set to On - Public on the web.

  6. Click Save and then Done.

  7. Copy the link from the browser address bar (not the URL from the Sharing settings).

    The URL should look like this: https://www.google.com/maps/d/u/0/edit?mid=[your map ID]&ll=[location coordinates]&z=[zoom]

  8. Paste the link into an empty paragraph of a Nuclino item.

If you'd like to paste the original URL as is, without embedding it, use the Undo shortcut (Ctrl/Cmd + Z) after pasting the link.
