Use tasks

Who can use this feature?

🔐 Only workspace editors can add and edit tasks.

⭐️ Available on all plans.

  • Completed task.

  • Next task.

To create a task

Using Markdown

  1. Open the item in which you'd like to add a task.

  2. Move your cursor in a new empty paragraph where you'd like to add the task.

  3. Type [ ] followed by a space.

  4. Write down a task after the checkbox.

  5. To mark it as complete, simply click on the checkbox.

Using the insert menu

  1. Open the item in which you'd like to add a task.

  2. Move your cursor in a new empty paragraph.

  3. Click on the insert button, the red circled + icon.

  4. Select Task list. A checkbox appears.

  5. Write down a task after the checkbox.

  6. To mark it as complete, simply click on the checkbox.

Using the slash command

  1. Open the item in which you'd like to add a task.

  2. Move your cursor in a new empty paragraph.

  3. Type /.

  4. Select Task list. A checkbox appears.

  5. Write down a task after the checkbox.

  6. To mark it as complete, simply click on the checkbox.

To assign a person to a task

To assign a person to a task, create a task and mention a team member in it.

To find your open tasks

  1. Type + in the search bar or click on the search icon and select Add search filter.

  2. Select My tasks.

  3. The items in your current workspace containing your open tasks will be instantly filtered.

  4. Press Enter to search across all your workspaces.
